Learning to play, playing to learn

Lifelong success begins in childhood. And with a strong foundation built through education, there’s no telling the possibilities a child can have. That’s why we’re proud to support organizations like First Tee - The Lowcountry who remain dedicated to teaching children essential life skills.

As one of many chapters across the U.S., First Tee - The Lowcountry takes a game-based learning approach to teach kids golf while reinforcing important values and decision-making strategies. Activities are structured to introduce all aspects of the game, but the main goal is ensuring that all life skills they teach extend beyond the golf course.

“The foundation’s generous, ongoing and consistent support through Champions Fore Charity and Birdies For Charity helped make it possible for us to grow to over 600 participants in our Life Skills and Golf Skills programs held at our Hilton Head Island Learning Center and at several golf facilities throughout Beaufort and Jasper counties.”

First Tee shows up for the RBC Heritage to make sure kids have an unforgettable experience, as well. The Youth Zone, a minigolf course open to all, has been a fan favorite for years—and we thank the First Tee team for making it possible.

“Our kids and their parents have helped staff minigolf at the RBC Heritage several times. It is great to see a 15-year-old helping a very young golfer hit their first putts. Thank you, Heritage Classic Foundation! We couldn't do it without you.”
