South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event is recognized as one of the premier golf events in the country. Played on the famed Harbour Town Golf Links in The Sea Pines Resort since 1969, the event has a rich history on Hilton Head Island. Heritage champions are some of the most distinguished players in golf history.
Known as one of the top amateur tournaments in the United States, The Players Amateur features many of the Country’s best amateur golfers. Held at the prestigious Berkeley Hall Golf Club, many former contestants have gone on to have successful careers on the PGA TOUR.
South Carolina Congressional Cup
In September of 2013 the Heritage Classic Foundation and The Boeing Company launched the Inaugural South Carolina Congressional Cup on Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island.
US Congressional delegation along with leaders from the state agencies were invited for informative discussions, fellowship and golf. The South Carolina Congressional Cup is an exciting opportunity for businesses to meet with South Carolina elected officials on beautiful Hilton Head Island. The event will take place each Fall.
The purpose of the event is to recognize and celebrate members of Congress who have been instrumental in the tournament’s success and will provide an opportunity to interact with business leaders. This two day event features networking opportunities along with a panel discussion devoted to economic development and other current issues facing our state and nation. The Heritage Classic Foundation hosts this annual golf tournament at the famed Harbour Town Golf Links, site of South Carolina’s only annual PGA TOUR event, the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.

The girls’ champions are equally impressive, including Paula Creamer and Angela Park.
This South Carolina Junior golf event has a 50-year history. Young golfers from across the state compete in regional qualifier to play in this two-day event. The Heritage Classic Foundation is the presenting sponsor of this tournament run by the South Carolina Golf Association.
